The initial consultation
Lasting 50 to 60 minutes, your first consultation with Dr Shoka includes:
- a comprehensive psychiatric, medical and personal history
- a structured mental state examination
- an in-depth discussion of your symptoms and how they affect your daily life, sleep and work
- a clear clinical formulation and recommended next steps, where appropriate
Dr Shoka talks through his clinical impressions with you candidly during the appointment, and any treatment recommendations or further steps are agreed together around your clinical picture.
Follow-up consultations at £200
Where ongoing psychiatric review or treatment monitoring is clinically suitable, a 30-minute follow-up consultation costs £200. Follow-up visits are arranged when needed to review your progress and response rather than booked automatically after every first assessment.
