Before Your Appointment

Legal Requirements

The mandatory requirement for Photo ID for both parent and child (and birth certificate if no child passport). Booking is required for paediatric consultations. Call us or book online to secure a same-day or advance appointment. One parent or guardian must accompany the child.

During Your Appointment

Your consultation will last as long as it needs to-we don't limit appointments by time, however this is rarely beyond 30 minutes. This allows our doctor to take a full history from you, examine your child thoroughly, and explain the findings and treatment plan without rushing.

We understand that clinical environments can be unsettling for young patients. Our doctors are experienced in putting children at ease and will take the time needed to ensure your child feels comfortable. You'll find our entire team extremely welcoming and compassionate-our goal is for both you and your child to feel incredibly well taken care of.

Diagnostics

If required, we can perform blood tests, urine tests and swabs during your appointment. These are charged in addition to the consultation fee, and your doctor will discuss costs before proceeding. Our nursing team are experts at taking blood samples from children and are highly experienced, having each performed thousands of blood taking procedures. We stock numbing cream in the clinic to make phlebotomy as pain and stress free as possible.

Prescription and Next Steps

A prescription is included in your consultation fee. You can take this to any UK pharmacy, with several located within walking distance of our clinic. If your child needs a follow-up appointment, this is charged at £150.

Common Questions

What ages do you see?

We see children from 3 months to 15 years old. Young people aged 16 and over can be seen through our standard GP consultation service.

Can I walk in with my child?

Paediatric appointments require booking. Call us to check availability for our Monday and Wednesday clinics.

Do I need to bring both parents?

No. One parent or legal guardian is sufficient.

What identification do I need?

Please bring ID for yourself (driving licence or passport) and for your child (passport or birth certificate). This is a strict requirement and we'll need to keep a copy in your child's medical record.

Do you offer childhood vaccinations?

We do not offer routine childhood immunisations. For travel vaccinations for children, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

What if my child needs blood tests?

We can perform blood tests, urine tests and swabs at the clinic. These are charged in addition to the consultation fee. Your doctor will discuss any recommended tests and their costs during your appointment.

What if my child needs a specialist?

If your child requires care beyond what our GPs can provide, we arrange referrals to consultant paediatricians. We work with trusted specialists who can often see patients within days.
