We offer thirteen standalone UKAS-accredited tests covering chlamydia and gonorrhoea (£104), 4th-generation HIV (£125), syphilis (£135), hepatitis B (£68.13), hepatitis C, herpes I and II (blood or swab), 28-type HPV (£225), mycoplasma and ureaplasma, gardnerella, trichomonas and bacterial vaginosis.
Individual tests start from £68.13 and can be booked directly without a consultation when no examination is needed, either by selecting one named test or using Build Your Own to combine several markers.
If you have symptoms, have had a recent new partner, or want a doctor to advise on the right panel, a full STI screening package (from £250, including consultation and treatment when clinically indicated) is usually the better option.
Standard blood results are generally ready within 24 hours, urine and most PCR swabs take 1 to 3 working days, and herpes lesion swabs take 3 to 5 days.
Your visit is never shared with your NHS GP unless you ask (pseudonym registration and cash payment are welcome), and appointments run 7 days a week at 117a Harley Street (weekdays 9:00 to 18:00, weekends 10:00 to 14:00).

Samples, timing and when to test
Getting a reliable result depends on choosing the right sample type and respecting the incubation window for that infection. If you are unsure whether enough time has passed since a recent encounter, speak to one of our doctors at the visit.
Sample preparation
Urine tests (chlamydia and gonorrhoea). When testing via urine, the laboratory requires first-void urine (the very first part of your urine stream). Please hold your urine for at least 1.5 to 2 hours before your appointment so bacteria in the urethra are not washed away.
Swab tests. Swab sites depend on your anatomy and symptoms. Herpes PCR swabs are most accurate when sores or blisters are present.
Blood tests. No fasting is needed for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C or herpes serology blood draws.
HIV timing. Because the right HIV test and window period depend on when the exposure happened, ask a doctor at your appointment or call 0207 499 1991 beforehand if you want guidance.
When results are usually ready
- Standard blood tests (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, herpes blood) are generally available within 24 hours.
- Urine and most PCR swab tests usually return in 1–3 working days, while a viral herpes swab can take 3–5 days.
- Six-hour turnaround is available on our FAST screening packages only, not on standalone individual tests.

GP-led individual STI testing on Harley Street
Every sample is taken in clinic rather than through a finger-prick postal kit and analysed by UKAS-accredited laboratories. Our sexual health doctors are BASHH members working to BASHH guidelines, so if a test returns positive, you have immediate access to a doctor who can interpret the result and prescribe treatment.

How much do individual STI tests cost?
Individual STI tests start at £68.13 for hepatitis B, £104 for combined chlamydia and gonorrhoea, £125 for 4th-generation HIV testing, and £135 for syphilis, up to £225 for 28-subtype HPV testing.
Can I book without seeing a doctor?
Yes, individual tests may be booked without a consultation when no clinical examination is required (note that the £120.63 herpes swab includes a doctor consultation to sample the lesion). If you have symptoms or want a doctor to advise on the right panel, booking a full screening package is usually the better start.
How do I book more than one test?
Choose the Build Your Own option in the booking flow to select and combine multiple individual tests in a single appointment.
How quickly will I get results?
Standard blood tests (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, herpes blood) are generally available within 24 hours. Urine and most swab tests return in 1–3 working days, and a herpes lesion swab takes 3–5 days. Six-hour turnaround applies to our FAST screening packages only.
Are same-day results available for every test on this list?
Turnaround varies by assay. While HIV blood results often return within 4–24 hours, we do not promise same-day results for the whole individual menu.
Do I need to prepare for a urine test?
For chlamydia, gonorrhoea or mycoplasma urine testing, we need first-void urine (the first part of the stream). Please avoid passing urine for at least 1.5 to 2 hours before your appointment.
When should I take an HIV test after exposure?
The right HIV test and window period depend on how recently the exposure occurred. Speak to our doctor at your visit or call 0207 499 1991 before booking so we can guide you.
When is a herpes swab useful?
A herpes PCR swab (£120.63, including doctor consultation) is most accurate when active sores, ulcers or blisters are present to swab directly.
Does HPV testing include a consultation?

Will my NHS GP be told?
We do not share your visit or results with your NHS GP or another third party unless you ask us to. Pseudonym registration and cash payment are also available.
