How long has it been since you properly checked your health?
You invest in your career, your relationships, your finances. But when did you last invest in a high quality assessment to investigate your health status? Everything else can be performing perfectly, one health problem can undermine all of it overnight.
A private health MOT finds what you can't feel yet through comprehensive blood testing and diagnostic imaging. For the majority of patients we screen, everything comes back fine. That's not a wasted appointment, but the reassurance that your health is ok. If everything isn't fine, you're aware and have access to the best private care to address it.
Most of the conditions that cause real problems later in life; cardiovascular disease, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, certain cancers, can develop silently for years before symptoms appear. According to Cancer Research UK, survival rates for cancers diagnosed at stage 1 exceed 90% for many common types. The NHS Health Check programme, offered to adults aged 40–74, has an uptake of around 40%, which means the majority of eligible adults in England are not being screened at all.
What is a health MOT?
A health MOT is a comprehensive, doctor-led medical assessment that evaluates your current health through blood tests, physical examination, and diagnostic imaging to detect conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and cancer in their earliest and most treatable stages. Our clinical team practises preventive medicine, catching problems years before they'd cause symptoms, when treatment options are widest and outcomes are best.
The NHS Health Check programme is offered to adults aged 40–74 every five years and covers a limited set of cardiovascular risk markers in a short appointment. NICE guidelines recommend cardiovascular risk assessment for adults in this age group, but the scope is narrow by design. Our private health MOTs includes 40-100+ blood parameters, advanced imaging, hormone profiling, and tumour markers, with dedicated one-to-one doctor time and an explanation of all results.

What happens at your appointment
Before
Continue regular medications. Wear comfortable clothing, arrive well hydrated. Other than that, there's no special preparation needed.
At the clinic
Your screening begins with a GP consultation at our clinic - your doctor reviews your history, lifestyle, and family background to tailor the examination. Tests proceed in sequence: physical exam, blood draw, ECG, imaging.
Results
Blood tests are typically available within 1-3 working days. Imaging reports (X-ray, ultrasound and MRI) within 5-7 days. If anything urgent is identified, your doctor contacts you immediately.
Your results review is a separate, dedicated appointment and most people book their review appointment at the end of their initial screening. Your doctor explains every finding in plain English, identifies anything that needs attention, and provides personalised recommendations. You're welcome to bring a partner or family member to the review if you'd like support. If you need a specialist, we refer directly usually within 48 hours.
What if something is found?
Finding something is the whole point of screening. An early finding is not bad news, it's the opportunity to act.
Common Findings
- • Vitamin deficiencies (corrected with supplementation)
- • Borderline cholesterol or blood pressure (lifestyle changes)
- • Fatty liver (dietary intervention)
- • Mild thyroid dysfunction (medication)
Significant Issues
If something more significant is detected, we co-ordinate directly. Urgent specialist referrals within 48 hours, access to leading London consultants, and fully managed follow-up care.
You won't be handed a phone number and left to figure it out alone. We can refer you back with findings to your NHS GP too - it's your choice.

“A health MOT isn't about finding something wrong — most of the patients we screen are healthy, and their results confirm that. The value is in the baseline. Once you have a comprehensive set of blood markers, imaging, and clinical observations, any future change becomes measurable. That's how you catch problems early, when the options are widest.

Q.What is a health MOT and why should I have one?
