Biological age and longevity assessment

The Longevity & Anti-Ageing Assessment at Medical Express Clinic is a detailed health assessment for adults over 40 who want a baseline of their structural and biochemical health.

The longevity assessment is designed for patients who wish to proactively manage their ageing process and their healthspan, the period of life spent in good health.

By identifying subtle shifts in biochemistry and structural health, the longevity assessment helps put strategies in place to prevent chronic disease.

The longevity assessment includes a full physical examination, a Brain MRI, a DEXA bone density scan, body composition analysis, a 12-lead ECG and 50+ blood biomarkers covering organ function, hormones, lipids, inflammatory markers and nutritional status.

The Longevity Elite MOT costs £2,095 and takes 3 to 4 hours in total, with the Brain MRI scheduled as a separate session.

Longevity assessment results take 7 to 10 days, followed by a comprehensive written report and a 1-to-1 consultation to discuss the results and lifestyle interventions.

Longevity assessments are available Monday to Friday at 117a Harley Street, London, and you can send an enquiry to arrange one.

FAQs

Longevity assessment FAQs

What does a longevity screening involve?

The screening combines a Brain MRI (for early neurodegeneration detection), DEXA bone density scan, body composition analysis, 12-lead ECG, and over 50 blood biomarkers covering organ function, hormones, lipids, inflammatory markers, and nutritional status. A GP results consultation is included.

Who is longevity screening designed for?

Adults over 40 who want to establish a detailed baseline of their structural and biochemical health. It is particularly relevant if you have a family history of dementia, osteoporosis, or cardiovascular disease and want data to act on before symptoms develop.

How long does the appointment take?

Allow 3-4 hours in total. The clinic portion (blood draw, physical exam, ECG, DEXA) takes about 90 minutes. The Brain MRI is scheduled as a separate session and takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

Do I need to fast?

Fast only if the clinic gives you a specific instruction when you book. Drink plenty of plain water. No fasting is needed for the MRI or DEXA scan.
